Who is winning
Add … healthy probes to your fleet and maintain that threshold for … consecutive ticks. The first empire to complete the streak is crowned — then it resets and starts over.
Where expansion is happening
The view starts tight on the home stars and widens as probes chart new systems. Small dots at a star are probes on station, in their empire's color — drives can't hide. Pale streaks between the stars are probes in flight: a burning drive is visible across light years, but a plume carries no empire and no heading, and you see it where its light says it was — a launch from the rim stays dark for over a day. Where a departed probe is headed stays secret until it lands. Dim stars are uncharted; select a name in the leaderboard to find its home.
